Types of Scrap Metal and E-Waste We Accept

Commercial Scrap Metal Recycling

At VMR, we’re happy to purchase both ferrous and non-ferrous metals like copper, brass, aluminum, steel, and iron. You can also rely on us for other metals, including aluminum castings, drink cans, e-waste, sheets, pipes, radiators, and window frames. If it’s metal, we’ll likely buy it!

Scrap Metal We Don’t Accept

While we recycle many materials, there are some items we don’t accept:

  • Wood, Plastics, Cardboard, or General Waste: We do not handle non-metal materials.
  • White Goods, Ovens, & Hot Water Systems: These are accepted but hold no value due to the plastic and insulation that must be processed. Drop-offs are free, but pick-ups incur a fee of $75-$225.
  • LPG & Gas Bottles: Return these to their original purchase location (e.g., Bunnings, gas stores, or hardware shops). Improper disposal can cause safety hazards.
  • Paint Tins & Spray Cans: Only cleaned and empty cans are accepted; dirty or full tins cannot be recycled.

Please contact us if you need clarification on any item.
